The Forum on Trade, Environment and the SDGs, in collaboration with the Trade Negotiations and Investment Forum, hosted a lunchtime conversation on Africa’s priorities at the nexus of trade and sustainability.

Leveraging the presence of numerous stakeholders attending the WTO Fourteenth Ministerial Conference (MC14) and IISD’s Trade & Sustainability Hub in Yaoundé, Cameroon, the light‑lunch roundtable brought together approximately 25–30 leading experts on trade, environment, and sustainable development to exchange views on:

• Key priorities and recent developments in international cooperation on trade, environment, and sustainable development in Africa; and
• Prospects and pathways for international trade cooperation to uphold sustainable development amid a tense and uncertain global trading environment.
